Overview

Roger is a semi-autonomous humanoid from Minerva Humanoids (San Francisco HQ; hardware engineered and assembled in Stuttgart) built for dangerous work: EOD and bomb disposal, hazmat response, offshore energy, and public safety. A trained specialist operates it remotely through a VR headset with full-body tracking and haptic feedback, while the maker's shared-autonomy software handles balance, fall recovery, and navigation. Announced figures put it near 5'9" and under 100 kg outfitted, light enough to ride in a passenger seat and stable on wet decking and stairways; modular payloads are planned. Prototype stage: three generations shown since the company's founding, first paid pilots slated for autumn 2026. Emerged from stealth on October 6, 2026 with a $10M pre-seed led by General Catalyst. Founded by CEO Sandor Felber (ex-Tesla Optimus, MIT CSAIL) and CTO Maurice Rahme (six years at Boston Dynamics, technical lead on Stretch). Western supply chain with no single-source Chinese components; showcased at NATO's EOD Centre of Excellence and in testing with defense-linked programs. Organization country: USA / Germany.
