Overview

AM-ARM200 is a low-cost, open-source 6+1 DoF robotic arm with a 1 kg payload and 52 cm reach — fully 3D-printable (print and assemble at home in about an hour) and built for embodied AI research. It extends the SO-ARM100 philosophy into a new capability class while staying easy to reproduce: CAD, firmware and software are all open, it runs the popular LeRobot and AlohaMini stacks out of the box, and a teleoperation pair costs roughly $380 (follower ~$240, leader ~$140). Created by Li Yiteng and Wu Zhiyong; an AM-ARM200 Pro variant with industrial STS3250 servos targets university labs needing higher durability. Verification level: limited — key specs are maker-reported and worth confirming directly.

Sourcing Notes

Inspired by the SO-ARM100 design pattern; LeRobot & AlohaMini compatible out of the box. AM-ARM200 Pro variant upgrades to industrial STS3250 servos for university labs. Hardware available via Taobao.
