Overview
Flourish Robots (San Francisco) emerged from stealth on September 29, 2026 with a deliberately constrained home robot: a wheeled base, two arms and a vertically lifting torso, 1.10 m tall and 20 kg, carrying 1.5 kg per arm. Owners teach it chores in about 30 minutes by physically demonstrating the task with their phone — no coding — and it then repeats and schedules tasks like picking up shoes, wiping tables, watering plants, loading the dishwasher or clearing a litter box. A Raspberry Pi 5 runs navigation, voice and smaller models on board, with heavier inference in the cloud (optional subscription); LiDAR plus three cameras handle perception, and the arms stop when a person enters their reachable area. At $3,555 it is the cheapest humanoid-class home robot announced to date. First batch is 50 units with December 2026 deliveries; the company says units are already in manufacturing and assembly. Flourish 1 is in the pre-order phase — expect a wait between deposit and delivery. Verification level: partial — core specs are corroborated, edge cases are maker claims. Designed around household chores; fetching items; watering plants; loading dishwasher. Headline numbers: 110 cm tall, 20 kg, 1.5 kg payload, 12 hours (9-hour charge) of rated runtime. Listed pricing starts around $3,555 (first 50 units; deliveries Dec 2026).
